PROBLEM
At two banks of doors at the university’s entrance, extreme wind conditions pulled swinging storefront doors with builder grade hardware off the hinges.
SOLUTION
After consulting with the university and assessing the environmental circumstances, DH Pace recommended to upgrade to hurricane-rated automatic sliding doors. In addition to the door upgrade, the project included customizing the height of the storefront header and implementing an electronic access control system with card readers.
